Podcast #7: A Bad Man Goes To War

What?

Another episode? So soon?

YES! E3’s over for another year, but there has certainly been a few big reveals for gamers in the past week. The biggest of which was the unveiling of A virtual Disneyland game on Kinect… No, I’m kidding.

But seriously though: The Wii-U.

The new Nintendo game-changer is put under the microscope and given a good going over by the guys, to judge whether we think it’ll be, well, ANY GOOD! The choice of name, the dinner plate they call a controller, and the stupidity of Nintendo are all discussed.

After the verbal assault on Nintendo, we move on to talk about Microsoft’s conference, and how almost EVERY game they demoed or announced was for the Kinect. Some looking quite good, some just downright laughable (See: Disneyland game), the conference was hit and miss. We babble on about how much we love Halo games, after the announcement of both Halo 4 and Halo: CE Anniversary Edition. Sony’s next generation portable,
the PSVita, gets a look in as well.

This extra long podcast is rounded off nicely by taking a trip down memory lane, mentioning the great games of yester-year, with special attention to the games of Rare. So listen in, folks! I’m sure there’s something for everyone in this ‘cast (Unless you’re a Nintendo Fanboy), and be sure to tune in next time, which might be sooner than you think!

Podcast #4: “Being Lazy”

Sonic 4And so AUPodcast returns, smashing through the sky high walls of ‘Technical Issues’ to bring you Episode 4 ‘Bein’ Lazy’. Apologies for such sky high walls but it took us a while figuring out how to get past them, we realised there was a door.

This week we discuss 3D Gaming, Angry Birds on iPhone, Nintendo ‘being lazy’ and the X10 event, highlighting Perfect Dark XBLA and Fable 3 as talking points before closing up with none other than SONIC 4?! OH ME GAWD. We wrap up the podcast with the return of the ‘Nostalgia Section’ you never demanded it, so we brought it back! Bug struggles to really remember what he’s wanting to be nostalgic about, which in this podcasters opinion kinda defeats the purpose of Nostalgia?

Next weeks podcast is due to be recorded tomorrow night, given that the blackhole Bug accidently opened is closed by then. Honestly, you leave him alone for two minutes…

Also be sure to listen out for an ULTRAAAA COMMMBOOO!
